About the concert:

As you may have heard, we have a close relationship with the Walt Disney Company, and this has enabled us to secure permission to perform the music from their premiere Christmas event ‘The Candlelight Processional’ which is performed at Epcot in Walt Disney World in Florida, in our own concert here in the UK. This music features massively exciting arrangements of Christmas classics, all interwoven with the Nativity story. It is a very moving experience, as any singers who have travelled with us to perform at Candlelight in America will testify. We are thrilled to be able to perform this very special celebration of Christmas here at St Mary Magdalene Church in Bristol.

The music for this concert is really uplifting and inspirational, and includes full company arrangements of songs such as “O Holy Night”, “Angels from the realms of glory”, “O Come all Ye Faithfull”  and “Silent night” – as well as building to a massive climax with a full rendition of the “Hallelujah” chorus from Handel’s “Messiah”. This is music to warm the heart on a cold winter’s night, and we can’t wait for you all to enjoy it with us.

As well as the performances at St Mary Magdalene Church, there may be opportunities to travel to some of our other companies and perform this concert with fellow singers from across the country. Other venues include Coventry Cathedral in Central and Christ the King RC in North West.

As this is a shorter musical programme than our usual concerts, we are running rehearsals over nine weeks rather than the usual twelve. This has enabled us to bring the cost down to just £85, which includes all rehearsals and performances.  We are hoping that this will enable as many people as possible to come and join us, so please spread the word amongst your fellow singers, friends, family and work colleagues. We would love to share this celebration with as many people as we can, and fill the rafters of The Church with the joyous voices of you all.

How to Join

The performance fee for this concert is £85.00 (including £12.75 VAT). This fee covers
your vocal coaching, a rehearsal CD and the actual performance at the concert.

Evening rehearsals are from 7.30pm – 10.00pm

There is also a once only fee for music packs. Payable as a deposit when you receive your music. CLICK HERE for more information. If you are a new singer and apply on line, unfortunately the music pack deposit cannot be paid on line. Please therefore send your music pack deposit to the office or bring it along to the launch. If you are an existing singer applying on line and have already paid the music pack deposit you do not need to send it again. If you chose to download the application form and send it to the office with a cheque you can include the music pack deposit in your cheque.

OR If joining before 11th September 2009 pay by staged payments (only available if paying by Credit or Debit card). These staged payments will be taken as follows:
1. £50.00 on receipt of application (+£10 music pack deposit if applicable)
2. £50.00 on 1st October 2009
3. £35.00 on 1st November 2009
