About the concert:
We are now recruiting singers for the above concert and look forward to another exciting adventure.
Congratulations to everyone who performed in our last show Sing the Music of the Big Band on 9th January 2010. We can’t wait to work with you again to deliver another first class concert.
Welcome to anyone new looking to join us for the first time, you are in for a treat!
We will be singing a selection of Gospel songs which is typical of this genre – it will range from traditional spirituals to the more modern arrangements made famous by many contemporary artists. This music is uplifting, vibrant and invigorating and will have everyone clapping and ‘dancing’ along.
The Vocal coach will be Sue Phillips and the Musical Director will be Steve Roberts.

The preview evening will take place on Monday 29th March 2010, 6pm at Milltown Baptist Church, Old Milltown Road, off Shaws Bridge, Belfast, BT8 7SW
We are trying to increase our efficiency and create less paperwork for you and us! Our code of conduct will not now be included with the music pack. You will receive it at the launch. We will ask you to sign two copies when you receive your next music pack or your first music pack (depending on whether you are a new or existing singer). You will then keep one copy and we will retain the other. We have streamlined our forms and hope to correspond with as many of you as possible by email, so that you can download the forms and send them to us or join on line. If you do give us an email address please make sure it is one you check regularly! Don’t worry if you don’t have an email address we will still be posting things, but hope to reduce the amount of envelopes we send out and the amount of paper involved! Our other plea is, to help us reduce the amount of reminders we send, please apply as early as you can. To this end we will always try and include stage payments. It makes a real difference to know how many existing singers and new singers we have before we start our advertising campaigns and again helps us to be more efficient.
The performance fee for this concert is £135.00 (including £20.11 VAT). This fee covers your vocal coaching, a rehearsal CD and the actual performance at the concert.
Information for new singers
There is a music pack deposit payable of £10.00 on application. This entitles you to receive the printed music. It is a deposit lodged with Sing Live to cover the music packs you are given. You must always return your music at the end of the concert in order to receive a new pack for the next one. If you choose to do no further concerts you get your deposit back on request. If you are an existing singer you have probably already paid this!
For security reasons all singers need a Security ID card in order to access concert venues. A separate fee of £6 is payable for this; please complete the form which will be in your music pack at the launch.
Please note that our usual performance attire is a black and gold top (if applicable for this concert). If you need one for this performance it is available to order at a charge of £25.
Rehearsals are held weekly on a set night from 7.30pm to 10pm (with odd movements for bank holidays) and there will be 2 rehearsals held on a weekend afternoon from 2pm to 5pm. Be prepared to be flexible, extra rehearsals may be planned if necessary. You will receive a full schedule of dates on application or you can obtain a copy in advance from the office.

Please note that the launch and rehearsals in April for this concert will be on a Wednesday evening due to the Royal Albert Hall Rehearsals. Normal rehearsal night will start from the second week in May.
