It really feels like Autumn up here in Yorkshire and has got us in the mood for organising our Christmas season of concerts which we have listed below. Unfortuantely we have had to cancel our Christmas Brass and Voices concert in Leeds Town Hall due to circumstances outside our control. We are of course extremely sorry and dissappointed in having to do this, thankfully it is a rare occurance, but, we are planning an exciting venture for Northern in 2011- so please bare with us into the New Year.

A big welcome to three new vocal coaches;

Lorraine Harris-Roche who proved very popular with North West for the last concert has agreed to continue as vocal coach helping Steve. Anthony J Quimby - who worked for us a while ago now brings his varied experience back as he rejoins us as vocal coach in South Yorkshire. Richard Taggart - Richard returns after a short absence as vocal coach for Coventry. We know that you will enjoy their differing styles and will give them a warm welcome at rehearsals.

Thank you to everyone that made the first rehearsals/launches in East Midlands, South Yorkshire, South West and North East. Also to our new singers that are doing York Daytime sessions and singers rehearsing for The Armed Man concerts - it was great to see you brimming over with enthusiasm to get started in our new seson of concerts.  What a season we have to look forward to! - concerts to include The Beatles Story, The Armed Man (A Mass for Peace) which will include performances in York Minster, special concerts at The Royal Armouries Museum and also in Coventry Cathedral as part of the month of Remembrance. Before the end of the year we have concerts in so many beautiful venues including Clifton Cathedral in Bristol, Birmingham Cathedral and Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, the famous Newcastle City Hall and the refurbished Albert Hall in Nottingham plus St Peter's Basilica in Vatican City and Disney World Resort Florida. We are still recruiting for some listed below.

Steve has been invited for an interview on the BBC Radio 3 show 'The Choir' with Aled Jones. The programme is going to be aired on 3rd October. To aid recruitment he has also been on prime time radio on BBC Newcastle this week and will be on BBC Radio Sheffield on Monday (approx 2.30pm)- so make sure you listen and try to encourage your family and friends to join us in our new era of very special singing opportunites....Remember NO experience is required just a willingness to learn some fantastic music and have fun!

Disney 2010 - Departing November, be part of the Candlelight Processional at Epcot in Walt Disney World Resort in Florida! This is the eighth year that we have been invited to perform in this spectacular venue joining up with our Sing Live colleagues in Florida and Tampa for three performances. We have also been invited to perform in 'A Singing Christmas Tree Spectacular' in Tampa Bay. This has always been a very special trip for us. We perform in the opening performance of this prestigous event which attracts over 2000 spectators per day. Florence 2011 - Departing in March, there are still spaces to join us for our first very special concerts in Pisa Cathedral and to perform music for a Mass at San Francesco di Assisi Basilica. There will be an opportunity to take communion after the performance for those that want to. We are also performing in Stefano al Ponte Vecchio, a beautiful church in Florence. Alnwick Castle, Northumberland - Be part of 'Hogwarts Choir' in May 2011. Alnwick Castle had a starring role in the Harry Potter films. Sing Live are going to be the 'Hogwarts Choir' during a programme of Magical Music in the Castle and gardens on Bank Holiday Monday 30th May. They are the home of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland. A stunning location on the North East coastline with a rare Poison Garden and the spectacular Tree House.
