Sing Live UK roll out the red carpet to celebrate our tenth birthday!
As our Sing Live family extends around the country there are so many of you who have participated in our concerts and events over the years.  Here is the opportunity for everyone to get together from all our Sing Live companies and celebrate this.  We will reflect on it, delight in it and party the night away into our next decade together!  Joined by your partners, friends and family who make up our supporting cast, we look forward to a night to remember!

Our unique tenth anniversary ball will follow a Show Business Awards Ceremony theme and will be a glittering occasion with the red carpet, walkway of the stars and paparazzi waiting for you.
Glamour will be the only way to go as we start our special year of events to rejoice in the fact that it is ten years since the first hugely successful concert by what was then The Northern Music and Theatre Company, and is now internationally renowned Sing Live.

There will be prizes and surprises; music and dancing, and maybe even some singing! Why not arrive dressed as your favourite film-star, to be photographed by the paparazzi before signing autographs!
You will also have the opportunity to pose for a staged photograph and receive a complimentary copy of it!

We will be honouring all manner of milestones such as original cast members, original crew members, services to Sing Live, momentous moments, prestigious achievements, things people want to be recognized for and things they don’t! 

An evening to  celebrate our achievements over 10 years remembering where we started and just how far we have come.  We will have a ‘Show Case Corner’ full of your photos, your memories, any memorabilia and quotes.

There will be a raffle and an auction the proceeds of which will be used to start the Sing Live Foundation (to be run by Michael Beard on behalf of Sing Live).  The aim of this will be to support small local charities in our Sing Live areas, nominated by you to Michael Beard with the charities you wish us to support and at the end of each year the proceeds will be distributed accordingly. 

So get your glad rags on and join us. Black tie will of course be optional, but it’s your chance to dress to the nines!  There will be a drinks reception, four course meal, live band and a disco.

The price is £49 per person

The tables will be circular and in numbers of 10, 11 or 12, so please let us know who you wish to sit with.

The event will start around 7 pm and finish around 1.30 am

There are a number of hotels within walking distance of the Royal Armouries, two of which have a special Sing Live rate and special booking code for you to ring direct and book your room.  Ring the hotels on the numbers below using your credit card to reserve the room, and your payment will be taken on departure in June.  Hurry, these rates can only be held for us for a short while.

1. Express by Holiday Inn (this hotel is directly opposite the Royal Armouries – a walk of about 40 yards – which is good in heels!!) – 0870 890 0455 – the price for bed and breakfast is £79  per room.  Please ring reservations and quote the booking code ‘Sing Live’

2. Jury’s Inn 0113 283 8800 – the price for bed and breakfast is single £62 and double/twin £70.  Please ring reservations and quote the booking code ‘sing14’.

3. There is also the Etap Hotel which offers ‘no frills’ accommodation for £35 per room and includes a double bed and single bunk bed in each room.  Breakfast is around £2.95.  Telephone number 0871 222 2288, you do not need to quote Sing Live for this hotel.

We are looking for photographs and quotes for our ‘show case corner’.
We would like one quote from each singer entitled ‘your best sing live moment’.  If you are in rehearsal please fill in the ‘Sing Live Tenth Anniversary Note Book’ which will be at your rehearsal.  We will have one book for each company so you can compare quotes on the night!  If you are not in rehearsal send us your quote and we will paste it into the books.   Make sure you tell us which company you are in!  Send it to the office marked ‘Sing Live Tenth Anniversary Note Book’.

Please send us any photographs of yourselves at concerts, rehearsals, events, or on trips either by post, noting on the back who is on the photo, where it is, and when it is or by e-mail to admin@singliveuk.com again noting who is on the photo, when it is and where it is! Put your e-mail heading – Tenth Anniversary Ball Photo.

We are also looking for your nominations for the following:-

1. Your favourite soloist in your home company – this is a very personal thing and we have been selective with the word favourite!  - this could be based on one spectacular performance in the last ten years, it may be a consistently good performer, it may not be the best singer but the one you love - no matter - it is your favourite!!

3. Your favourite Sing Live Special Guest Star

Finally, please see the part on the booking form where we would like you all to send us your written gift in just a few words of what Sing Live has given to you that you would like to pass on to some one else e.g. I give you the gift of

Please note the tickets will be sent to you in May.  A receipt will be sent to you in February.  Please therefore send us two A5 stamped, addressed envelopes.
